Thrilld Labs Pitches at WAIB Summit
Thrilld Labs was the official networking app at WAIB Summit in Monaco this June 2025 and was also one of the selected projects to pitch at the Startup Competition. Thrilld Labs' CEO, Alexandra Overgaag, shared more about the roadmap and fundraising goals as well as the other new offerings the team is working on. The WAIB Summit is an annual Web3 conference gathering thought leaders, investors, innovators and other professionals working to discuss the intersection of all things Web3, AI, and Bitcoin (hence the name, WAIB). As a networking partner, Thrilld was the official networking app for the event. In addition to the networking partnership, Thrilld Labs was also selected to pitch on stage at the Startup VC Pitching Session.
Held in Monte Carlo, Monaco, this year’s edition combined three events – WAIB Summit, NFT FEST, and Ordinals Monaco – into one, offering more exhibitions, presentations, discussions, and networking. Nestled along the Mediterranean Sea at the southern end of France and not that far from Italy, Monaco attracted a large global audience, welcoming over 2,000 attendees, 100 speakers, and 80 partners and sponsors.
Alexandra Overgaag, Founder and CEO of Thrilld Labs, went to Monaco in June 2025, representing Thrilld Labs on site. Since Thrilld was the official networking app of WAIB Summit, Alexandra oversaw attendee onboarding in real-time to maximize the benefits of a networking app and ensured that Thrilld was visible onsite and ready to meet any challenges that presented.
Using Thrilld, attendees could connect and discuss funding and business opportunities before, during and after the event. They could also create instant chats, view and build agendas, explore side events, and meet with others as per their own needs and wants.
Thrilld Labs was also pitching in front of VCs, incubators, and attendees at the Salle des Arts in One-Monte Carlo, next to the Grand Casino (a very approporiate scene for the crypto space, we might add!). This was the second year the event organized the Startup Pitch, and included representatives from VCs like Spartan Group, NEAR Foundation, BTCSL, and IBC Group.
The stage gave us the opportunity to present our work in front of judges from VCs and a wider audience. Truth be told, there were a few hiccups in the overall process of the pitch, given that our participation wasn’t originally listed on the schedule. As well as that our pitch slides weren’t loaded when our turn came around and appeared only halfway through the pitch. Yet, despite this, feedback from jury members and attendees was positive, with one even saying that it was the best pitch of the day.
To reiterate, the Thrilld app is a networking solution for professionals, events and others in the Web3 space. Using Thrilld, Web3 builders, contributors, and investors worldwide can all find one another and talk collaborations, funding, and even jobs and whatnot in a streamlined manner. Thrilld also serves as an event (networking) app, hence, we also shared that through these partnerships, we are steadily expanding our reach outside of Europe to places in Asia, the Americas, and Africa.
Finally, we ended with what’s to come (or already in the works). Thrilld Labs is developing v3 of Thrilld, an update that marks the beginning of a full event management ecosystem centered around the mobile app and our (coming) decentralised ticketing alongside new website. Some of the features to be introduced are a decentralized and secure NFT ticketing platform, a dedicated organizer dashboard for event creation and control, and, soon after, a custom sponsor dashboard with tailored functionality.
Everything on the dApp will, of course, be integrated with the mobile app.
