We’re thrilld to announce that Thrilld Labs was selected as one of six start-ups to pitch at SiGMA Pitch Europe happening in Rome, Italy on Nov. 6th.
SiGMA Central Europe is a massive event from Nov. 3-6 that focuses on emerging technologies, AI, gambling, payments, adult industry, and crypto among others. The event is expecting 1,200+ sponsors & exhibitors, 550 speakers, and 30,000 industry delegates across four conference stages.
SiGMA frequently hosts start-up competitions and, through the Startup Village, invites promising startups and businesses to connect with investors and mentors. Startups also have the chance to connect with other VCs and accelerators.
This year, SiGMA Pitch returns once again to SiGMA Central Europe. SiGMA Pitch provides a platform for startups to not only connect with investors, but to bring their ideas on stage and to a global audience. As one of the startups selected by a panel of expert judges alongside five other top start-ups, Thrilld Labs will pitch on stage.
Pitching gives us the chance to show-off our project to experts and investors, expanding our reach and presence. Moreover, the judges include Viktors Troicins (Senior Advisor at Oaklins Baltics), Meir Shachar (CEO at Runwai Growth Capital), Harmen Brenninkmeijer (Executive Chairman at NYCE International), Karolina Pelc (Founder at BeyondPlay), and Adam Rosenberg (Senior Advisor at Blackstone).
The competition also offers prizes including a startup marketing package, cloud infrastructure package, blockchain growth package, technology foundation package, brand development package, and others. Notably, the prizes offer startups monetary support, but also tailored strategies for growth. The marketing package, for example, is meant to help the startup boost visibility through a branded expo booth, workspace at one of the SiGMA office locations, digital marketing services, and exclusive networking opportunities at the the iGatherings and Ikigai Lounge at one of SiGMA’s events.
As we have explored in a prior article on matching with VCs ((Dealing with VCs in the Web3 Space: a No-Nonsense 101 for Projects and Founders), we much value the resources and diligent support that the prizes and judges at SiGMA’s Pitch possibly provide.
Held in Italy, a promising market for startups and the crypto industry alike, it is also a relatively closer event for our team, helping to save on travel costs (a small win, we’d add)! Rome is emerging as a top European city for digital entrepreneurship and startup growth, with more venture capital investments, and other initiatives like the Houses of Emerging Technologies supporting the industry’s growth.
SiGMA Europe will explore technologies spanning multiple sectors, including gambling and gaming, which we are curious to learn more about.
The Pitch?
On the stage, we will explain that the Thrilld app is a networking solution for professionals, events, and others in the Web3 space. And later beyond this very sector. Using Thrilld, Web3 builders, contributors, and investors worldwide can all find one another and talk collaborations, funding, and even jobs and whatnot in a streamlined manner. Thrilld also serves as an event (networking) app. For example, event attendees can leverage Thrilld to connect and discuss business, and other synergies - before, during, and after the event. Attendees can moreover create instant chats, view and create agendas, explore side events and meet with others as per their own needs and wants.
Indeed, through many networking and as well as event media/community partnerships, we are expanding our reach outside of Europe to places in Asia, the Americas, and Africa. As more events opt to use the networking app, it has given us the chance to smooth out issues and to maximize the onboarding and networking outcomes.
