We’re thrilld to announce a community partnership with Paris Blockchain Week, happening at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France on April 15-16, 2026. “Where Institutions and Digital Assets Finally Meet,” Paris Blockchain Week takes a different approach, from crypto-native narratives to one that cojoins traditional finance with digital assets. Rather than treating blockchain as a parallel ecosystem, the event places digital assets within existing financial systems and the constraints that govern them.

Banks, asset managers, regulators, infrastructure providers, payment networks, and market data firms are now directly involved in how digital assets operate within regulated environments. Therefore, according to the organizers, growing institutional demand for regulatory clarity and operational standards is a central focus of this year’s agenda.

To this end, discussions center on adoption, market structure, custody, compliance and the role of blockchain inside larger financial institutions. Topics also look at how this is possible through global finance, regulation, and digital asset infrastructure. The event shall draw a senior audience of decision-makers responsible for capital allocation, regulatory oversight, and financial market infra..

To address these themes, at Paris Blockchain Week attendees can look forward to:

  • 10,000+ founders, investors, and corporate leaders from 100+ countries, 36,000 meetings, 450+ attending journalists, 320+ C-suite leaders and regulators speaking;
  • Over 70% C-Suite, 97.4% satisfaction rate in network quality, 748M+ media outreach across global articles and coverage, 100+ countries represented;
  • Discussions grounded in operational and regulatory realities from figures such as Dr. Nouriel Roubini (NYU), Natasha Cazenave (ESMA), Chuck Mounts (S&P Global), Nikhil Sharma (BlackRock);
  • Start In Block, a large Web3 Startup Competition, where 1,000+ founders compete for over $10,000,000 worth of prizes over 3 different tracks;
  • An invitation-only VIP Dinner for a selected circle of global leaders in digital finance.

Confirmed participants and partners include S&P Global, Fidelity Investments, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Invesco, the European Commission, Circle, Ripple, Cardano, and Bybit. Together, these organizations span the institutional stack. A full and updated list of participating companies is shared closer to the event.

As part of the main event, interestingly, the Institutional Days at Paris Blockchain Week is another program designed specifically to help traditional finance tip its toes in the systemic shift toward tokenized markets, Bitcoin treasury, stables and payments, real-world assets, and whatnot.

Another initiative is the Hack the Block 2026, PBW’s annual hackathon for devs to transform ideas into on-chain solutions. For 36-hours, engineers will build against real institutional challenges. Expect 1,000+ developers, 40+ nationalities, an average engineering experience of 4+ years. For eligibility, prize info, and more details, visit the Hack the Block 2026 website here.

Blockchain in Paris

Paris Blockchain Week is hosted at the Carrousel du Louvre, an underground shopping mall near the Tuileries Gardens, the Comedie-Francaise, the Musee d’Orsay and the Louvre. Also at the mall, the famous skylight La Pyramide Inversee may be found, which played an important role in the book The Da Vinci Code. The “City of Light” or “City of Love,” Paris is a city of expectation to be sure.

The organizers of PBW write that for digital assets, the city certainly isn’t doing anything less either: “Paris has become a key hub for financial and regulatory dialogue in Europe, particularly as frameworks, such as MiCA, define the region’s approach to digital assets.” By July 2026, France aims to align local regulations with the European framework.

Noteworthy is Ledger, a Paris-based company building secure hardware wallets and crypto custody solutions (thereby securing roughly 15-20% of global crypto assets in 2025). Surely found at PBW 2026, it’s an influential global company which actively strengthens the French blockchain community (a longstanding ecosystem) through investments and local expertise. The key importance of industry events, such as Paris Blockchain Week, arguably positions France as an interesting crypto destination.

To conclude, we’d argue that PBW 2026 is not positioned around short-term market narratives or year-to-year trends. Instead, it focuses on governance, standards, and the practical integration of digital assets into existing financial systems. That’s why Paris Blockchain Week has become a reference point on the global calendar.
