We’re thrilld to announce an official networking partnership with the Northern Ireland Blockchain Summit (NI Blockchain Summit), taking place on 12 February at Queen’s University Belfast in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Thrilld app will function as the official networking app, allowing NI Blockchain Summit attendees to network, find event info, and more!

The NI Blockchain Summit is organised by NI-Blockchain, which may be considered as the infrastructure layer enabling the coordinated on-chain future ecosystem in Northern Ireland. The Summit itself, now organised for the second time, bridges academia, industry, founders, investors, and students into a single, chain-neutral, collaborative community.

The initiative, with a strong academic yet also industry-rich focus, aims to educate, connect and empower current and future Web3 founders, engineers, developers and investors, and to link this community into the broader all-island ecosystem.

Attendees can expect a programme featuring expert talks, panel discussions and lightning sessions across themes such as blockchain ecosystems, AI, cybersecurity and emerging decentralised infrastructure.

Confirmed programme highlights include:

-Talks on cybersecurity, quantum, and live demos;
-Panels, such as an AI panel and one focused on blockchain, featuring Base, ETH Dublin, Cardano and Avalanche representatives;
-Lightning Talks from fantastic speakers coming from entities including ETH Dublin, Ctrl-Alt, Solana Superteam, and so foth..
-Organisations participating in related activities include academic departments (e.g., Queen’s University Belfast), innovation hubs, developer communities, and Web3 interest groups.

Northern Ireland – and the surrounding Ireland region, we know thanks to earlier collaborations with Blockchain Ireland Summit – have seen great momentum in blockchain. Surveys of the wider Irish population (Blockchain Ireland’s 2025 Annual Crypto Adoption Survey) show a rising level of familiarity with wallets and blockchain, with a significant share of younger folks engaged with crypto. Our research also found that the local tech landscape in Belfast has positioned itself as a key Irish centre for fintech, cybersecurity, blockchain and AI innovation, with many startups building in said area.

Last but not least, the Summit also places strong emphasis on networking and connection, which we love. Hence, as part of the networking partnership, attendees can use Thrilld to connect with one another, before, during, and after the event. Attendees can also create instant chats, view and create agendas, explore side events and even match with others beyond the event as per their own needs and wants.

‍We would also like to point out that NI Blockchain Summit values open-access and inclusion. Event tickets are therefore free of charge.
