Thrilld Labs Partners with ETH Cluj
ETHCluj is all about education, growth, and collaboration across the Ethereum and Web3 space and brings together students, devs, and everyone else for three days of workshops, keynotes, and learning (and fun). The city of Cluj-Napoca is a city in northwestern Romania (the second largest city) and is the unofficial capital of the Transylvania region. We’re thrilld to share about our partnership with ETHCluj happening this June 26-28 in Cluj-Napoca (Technical University Hub) Romania. It’s where smart contracts, scaling solutions & dApps come to life, not to forget about the talks and a series of wonderful workshops, which will, interestingly, be collated in a newly published book which will also serve as a base for university blockchain courses.
ETHCluj is a community of Web3 enthusiasts, as they put themselves, “with a heart for Ethereum and Solidity”. The community is all about blockchain programming, learning together and knowledge sharing and to that end ETHCluj organizes meet-ups and gatherings.
For the bigger event in the end of June, attendees can expect:
- A diversified line-up of speakers delivering keynote talks;
- Clever workshops for more immersive learning;
- Networking events with builders from the Ethereum ecosystem;
- And yes, there will be, side events and more throughout the weekend.
Furthermore, the conference offers six special tracks, including: AI and Ethereum, Business on Ethereum, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and more.
Without digressing too much… The tracks delve into developments in the industry such as the integration of AI into blockchain tech, or topics like the advancements of ZK technologies and layer-2 scalability. For those leaning less to the technical side of things, or are more business-orientated, there are sessions covering practical guidance for entrepreneurs and startups using Ethereum, as well as the very onboarding of more developers.
Moreover, a cornerstone of the event is its commitment to inclusion and education.
The event organisers thus naturally welcome anyone, from those just getting started to seasoned developers. They write, “We believe in keeping things simple, being honest in our efforts, and staying humble as we grow”. Along these lines, ETHCluj offers free conference tickets to students who want to learn, connect, and build. Applications will be reviewed and selected based on motivation and interest in blockchain. Students should fill out this form (spots are limited!).

As noted, the event will take place at the UTCN Hub, a brand new space at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, dedicated to advanced scientific research and development. Its purpose is to encourage and support innovation, as well as to foster educational initiatives that elevate the local technological landscape. Perfect for all things blockchain.
