Thrilld Labs Partners with BTC Balkans

We’re thrilld to collaborate with BTC Balkans, the Balkan Bitcoin conference organised by Bitcoin Club Bulgaria. Returning for its second edition, BTC Balkans will take place on 31 October - 1 November at Inter Expo Center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

What we love is how the conference has been organized for a broad audience, from those who are just discovering Bitcoin to experienced users, enthusiasts, and Bitcoin maximalists. The goal is to explain Bitcoin in clear and accessible language: what it is, why it was created, what problems it aims to solve, and how it can be useful in real life. 

‍

Over two-days, the event will look at Bitcoin from a number of different perspectives, including technology, money, freedom, independence, business, investment, store of value, and way of life.

What to expect?

‍

The programme reflects a regional focus, with sessions such as “Bitcoin Industry in the Balkans - All Balkan Communities,” alongside Balkan community speeches and discussions looking at how Bitcoin and the adjacent space are developing across the region. Participants are expected from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Turkey, and beyond, as well as guests from inside and outside Europe.

As BTC Balkans is designed for those new to Bitcoin as well as experienced users alike, the conference has a dedicated ‘Bitcoin for Beginners’ hall with lectures, training, and hands-on sessions, making it possible for newcomers to learn the basics while more advanced participants can dive into discussions around the wider ecosystem.

Another interesting addition is the Orange Zone, which will feature exhibition stands, drinks, music, games, and space for attendees to meet and talk. There will also be a Kids’ Corner, offering games and activities for the youngest Bitcoin enthusiasts.

The speaker lineup currently includes Georgi Manolov, Filip Durovic, Miroslava Kalibradova, Stoyan Panchev, Plamen Andonov, Kostadin Kotevski, Ivan Ivanov, Stoyne Vasilev, Nikolay Delchev, Kyle Huber, Dimitris Tsapakidis, and Stoyan Petrov, with additional speakers still being announced.

The venue, Inter Expo Center in Sofia, is located on Tsarigradko Shose Boulevard and is easily accessible by metro, bus, car, and taxi. The regional context is equally interesting: Montenegro and Slovenia ranked 8th and 10th globally, respectively for population-adjusted crypto adoption in Chainalysis’ 2025 index, highlighting the strong grassroots crypto activity found across parts of Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
