Thrilld Labs Partners with Bitcoin Asia 2026

We’re thrilld to announce a community partnership with Bitcoin Asia 2026, taking place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center on August 27-28.

Launched in 2024, Bitcoin Asia has since become one of the largest annual Bitcoin conferences in Asia. After other editions across the globe (think Las Vegas, Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi) Bitcoin Asia brings the global Bitcoin community together and grow collectively. To this end, Bitcoin Asia gathers global experts, policymakers, founders, startups, cultural creators, and  builders. We know by experience that the event is also open to anyone, from those learning about Bitcoin for the first time to professionals working in the industry.

The previous edition in 2025 attracted over 15,000 attendees, making it the second-largest Bitcoin conference globally. It covered topics such as digital asset treasuries (DATs), real-world assets (RWAs), stablecoin regulations in Hong Kong, and regional developments in crypto policy.

This year’s agenda will similarly look at recent institutional moves, policy shifts, and capital investment as more institutions and governments are opening up to Bitcoin.

At Bitcoin Asia, attendees can look forward to: 

• 10,000+ projected attendees from over 125 countries;
• 150+ speakers, which have seen industry experts such as CZ, Belaji Srinivasan, Adam Back, Eric Trump, Bilal Bin Squib, and Dr. Xiao Feng;
• Panels, workshops, and discussions on topics like spot ETFs, stablecoin policies, and institutional adoption;  
• Bitcoin Week featuring side events and after parties throughout the week;

One day before Bitcoin Asia, Bitcoin for Corporations (BFC) will host a full-day symposium on August 26 at Soho House. BFC Symposium Hong Kong brings together qualified corporate executives, capital allocators, and institutional partners for a day of strategic programming. This exclusive event provides direct insights on execution for teams and intentionally limits the professionals in attendance to a select group of partners, making BFC indeed the place where custody deals close, capital gets allocated, and board-level intros happen.

Bitcoin Asia is part of The Bitcoin Conference series organized by BTC Inc and recently acquired by Nakamoto Inc.. Bitcoin Asia in Hong Kong

Bitcoin Asia will happen in Hong Kong for the 3rd consecutive year, and for the 2nd time at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The Centre overlooks Victoria Harbour, and is a central location in Hong Kong beside business districts, and near to other local attractions. Outside of the main conference, after-parties and side events will happen throughout the week for Bitcoin Week. The updated agenda can be found here.

On a side note, in case you’re going to be in Hong Kong that week, BTC Asia also gives some food and restaurant recommendations. Hong Kong is famous for its street foods by the way! Check out some of Hong Kong’s neighborhoods from Kowloon City shaped by generations of immigration, to North, South, or Central & Western, or the creative spirit of Sham Shui Po, and neighborhoods like Yuen Long, Eastern, Kwai Tsing, Tuen Mun, and others each with their own characteristics and cuisines.

When it comes to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in the region, Asia accounts for approximately 60% of worldwide crypto users, supplying a large share of global trading liquidity. Despite China's strict restrictions on crypto trading and mining, the Chinese government is estimated to control around 190,000 BTC making it one of the world's largest government Bitcoin holders, ranked second after the United States. Although we’d add, ironically, this is largely from law enforcement seizures of cryptocurrencies, and after the shutdown of the PlusToken Ponzi scheme in 2019. Countries like India, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines consistently rank high on the global adoption indexes, partially thanks to the continued growth of retail engagement and grassroots adoption.

Perhaps more importantly even, Hong Kong is a key destination for crypto and the industry, for instance thanks to Hong Kong’s favorable regulations which offer a 0% capital gains tax regime on long-term cryptocurrency investments for both individuals and institutional participants. In April 2024, Hong Kong launched Asia’s first spot Bitcoin ETF. To be sure, Hong Kong is an important place for the Bitcoin ecosystem , as well as its iconic status as a global city state connecting the East and West.
