Mehavarthini Ponsornam Joins Thrilld Labs as a Business Development Trainee

^{Meha is a Sophomore at the Underwood International College at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, double majoring in NanoScience & Engineering and Creative Technology Management. Meha is passionate about business development, emerging technologies and strategic innovation, and she has a strong foundation in coding (Python, MySQL, HTML (learning), JavaScript (learning), digital marketing, and sales & marketing techniques.

^{In this interview, we had sat down with with Meha for a few quick questions about her journey and thoughts on Web3. Read on to find more about why Meha joined Thrilld Labs and Web3, as well as what she hopes to accomplish and learn through the Traineeship…

What motivated you to join Thrilld Labs?
‍

When I came across Thrilld Labs, I was really intrigued by its mission and what the platform actually does, like creating a space where people in Web3 can connect with each other.

At around the same time I was also learning about Web3 concepts through my coursework, which added on to my interest to learn more deeply about it. So, the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals at Thrilld Labs and seeing how diverse the team at Thrilld Labs made me want to join it as well.

What made you want to join the crypto space?
‍

The crypto space is actually something that I have been hearing about for a long time such as about tokens, how they’re used, or like how Web3 works, or the technology behind it, especially blockchain. I was always very curious about it and used to learn about it in a very amateurish way out of interest. 
‍

And through my coursework as well, I started understanding the concepts in it more clearly. As I keep learning about it, I kind of broadened my scope and explored topics that were related to it as well.

What technical or fundamental aspects do you find most intriguing about Web3?
‍

The internet and its platforms are always evolving, but something that I really found interesting about Web3 is the idea of decentralization and transparency, that is, users having more control over their data and how it’s being used, rather than having intermediaries.

And, the transparency of every interaction happening to everyone involved is also very intriguing.

How do you see Web3 evolving in the future?
‍

This is something even I’m really curious about, because I don’t have that much of a deep knowledge about Web3 yet, but I think Web3 will gradually move from being something that feels complex to ordinary users to something that’s more accessible and user-friendly.

From an adoption view, everyday users might engage with Web3 without actually realizing they’re really using it.
