What are Jillian's business learnings and why is she so driven? Read on...

At Thrilld Labs, we believe that the future of Web3 is shaped by connectivity and action-driven collaboration. That’s why we launched EcstaSHE, a business community for female Web3 professionals, leaders, and execs. We are thrilld to feature women in our network who are building the future of Web3.
Today, we are excited to spotlight an individual whose career spans journalism, politics, advocacy, and blockchain leadership: Jillian Godsil.
Jillian has been repeatedly named among the most influential women in crypto, including The Street’s Top 50 Real Women Assets, Top 100 People in Crypto & Web3 Globally, and has been named a finalist in leading educator and women-in-blockchain awards.
In addition, Jillian is actively involved in several impactful initiatives. She was elected as Congresswoman of Liberland, listed as one of the Top 6 Forbes Trailblazers of Tech, included in the Forbes Tech Council, and won silver at Ireland’s CAOL Radio Awards for her show Wishing Well.
A long-standing builder across global Web3 communities, she is also co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Blockleaders.io, and a prolific writer for major publications including The Street, CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph, and CityAM.
We had the pleasure of interviewing Jillian to learn more about her work and, importantly, her thoughts on the Web3 business space.
What are you currently building or working on within the Web3 space?
Continuing to build Blockleaders to be a vital force within Web3 - telling the stories of Web leaders. This is even more important than ever, especially when it comes to championing women in Web3.
I was at a recent AI/data center conference in Italy, and there were only men on stage - lots of highly educated and qualified women in the room, but none on the stage. I complained to the CMO, and miraculously, a new panel was created out of thin air, which was dominated by women. The women were in the room, just not on stage. My complaint changed this. We all need to call out the lack of female representation.
I also helped create the top 50 Real Woman Assets for the Street for International Day and went on to start a series of women in leadership on Blockleaders. This is only the beginning - I have 16 women already interviewed, and I want to grow this to 100 at least, and then beyond. The women are here; we just need to celebrate them.
Giving women a platform, a voice, and confidence in Web3 is my burning ambition. I don’t want to see the ‘bros’ dominate; I want to see Web3 being open to all.
What are your ambitions for 2026? How do you see yourself making an impact?

I am currently fundraising to bring on more support for Blockleaders, expanding the team and our reach. I am exploring VC opportunities as scaling requires investment. I have given almost ten years to Blockleaders - in sweat equity - now it needs hard crypto or cash to bring it forward.
Having a platform of merit means I can achieve my goals of creating an inclusive, diverse environment for people to enjoy and thrive in Web3.
What’s the most valuable business tip you’ve learned, and how has it impacted your growth?
The best business trip I have learned is to master the art of multitasking, but in a conscious way. It’s not about doing ten things at once; it’s about knowing how to prioritise and using technology to stay ahead. In Web3, things move fast, and there’s no room for being passive or slow.
That mindset has built how I work and lead: Staying adaptable, using tools that make me faster, and keeping communication at the center of everything. Clear, timely communication builds trust, saves time, and keeps teams aligned, and that’s often what makes the difference between progress and burnout.

When we met, Jillian was awaiting her breast cancer diagnosis, something she surely also will be busy with in 2026. Jillian wrote a blog about it here.
What’s the most valuable business tip you’ve learned, and how has it impacted your growth?
Just keep going, especially on days when hope is at its lowest; forward momentum, however small, will keep you on track. Then, when times are good - celebrate!
Tell us what advice you would give to women starting out in Web3. How can they make an impact on the industry?
Be persistent. Be vocal. Be a pain in the derrière. Be present. BE!
Thank you, Jillian!

Web3 is bringing about a new world. What kind of world? An open, decentralized space where trustless tech thrives, individuals innovate, and communities continue to collaborate, we’d argue with some added alliteration.
Women like Jillian are leading the way. We want you to join us in building that future. Whether you’re just starting out or are already in the space for a decade, EcstaSHE offers a space to connect, collaborate, and share in opportunity.
